• Project Based Learning (PBL)

Sunnyvale School District teachers frequently use project-based learning as a means to help students to develop the critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills they will need to be successful in the workplace. Through this approach, children are assigned projects that require them to tap into a multitude of skills in order to find a solution to a problem. These lessons tend to be highly effective, not only in encouraging students to use all the skills and resources at their disposal to find a solution to their problem, but at helping children to see the relevance of their schoolwork to the real world.
