    Fairwood Explorer is located on the north side of Sunnyvale, CA in a suburban community. We serve 352 students in grades K-5. The ethnic makeup of our school community is 35% Caucasian, 16.2% Hispanic, 13.3% Asian Indian, 11.9% Filipino, and 11% Chinese students for 87.4%, with the remainder split among other ethnic groups. 21% of our students are English Learners.

    *Kindergarten Information*
    August 18-October 1 -- Kindergarten is dismissed at 11:20 a.m. daily (M-F).
    Kindergarten begins full-day schedule on October 4, 2021 - 8:00 am - 2:10 pm.
    12:25 p.m. Friday dismissal for kindergarteners begins on October 4, 2021.
     
    Conference Week
    Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held during the week of September 27-October 1.  During this week, all students will be dismissed at 11:20.  Teachers will create a schedule for Parent-Teacher conferences during this week.
