Welcome to Room 14

I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year.  This is my 29th year in the Sunnyvale School District.  I began my teaching career in Sioux Falls, SD, teaching Severe/Profound Handicapped children and then first grade.  In 1984 my husband and I moved to California.  I began my teaching career in California in South San Francisco teaching a K-3 Learning Handicapped class for two years and then moved to Sunnyvale in 1987. I spent 20 years at Cherry Chase teaching 2nd, 2/3, and 4th grades. I then took the opportunity to become an Induction Mentor for 3 years, helping new teachers clear their credentials. In 2010 I accepted a teaching position in first grade at Bishop Elementary. I taught at Bishop for 6 years.

I live in Santa Clara with my husband and two daughters, a dog, and two cats. We enjoy gardening, interior design, cooking, and travelling.
