Behavior

My goal for this year is to help your child to be an independent, responsible, and active learner, as well as, to show him or her how to make responsible choices. To accomplish this goal, we will be making the most of our class time. My expectations for the students this year will be high. They will need to work hard and do their best.

Homework

Homework is mandatory. It is a weekly packet and is DUE FRIDAYS. Students will do 1 page in addition to reading nightly, fluency practice, and sight word practice.

 There are few allowable excuses for homework that is not turned in or incomplete. Your student will get one warning for incomplete or missing homework. After their warning, homework not done or turned in will result in the following consequences:

• Students will complete homework during recess time.
• Homework missed due to an absence will usually be due the following day after returning to school.
