With over 20 years of dedicated service in education, I am honored to serve as the principal of Ellis School for the third year. My journey in education began with a passion for early literacy and fostering a love of learning through reading and writing.  Over time my passions have grown to provide nurturing and inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive and meet their potential.  I have held a number of positions during my 20 year tenure in the Sunnyvale School District including teacher, Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal.

Ellis School is an amazing community that is wonderfully diverse and supportive.  I look forward to continuing to move the school forward in a positive direction.  My professional interests include guiding teachers in their own professional development and creating supportive learning environments for students.  I am committed to building strong partnerships with families, staff, and the broader community to ensure our students receive the support and resources they need to succeed. Together, we celebrate diversity, promote equity, and create a safe and inclusive school environment.

 

On a personal note, I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I have two wonderful daughters, Ella and Keira who are in the 5th and 2nd grades. I value family above all else, and in our spare time we spend a lot of time at the pool and soccer fields, enjoy traveling and spending time together.
