Spartan Mental Health and Wellness Center
-
The Wellness Center was created in partnership with the Santa Clara County Office of Education as a response to students’ mental health needs on campus. The room functions as a space for students to regulate their emotions, practice mindfulness, and take time for their individual wellbeing with the support of an adult.
Students may seek out the Wellness Center for a “reset,” and for emotional and mental support. Our Wellness Center is staffed by a Wellness Center Liaison, and soon will have a Mental Health and Wellness Specialist. The mental health staff on campus, such as our Social Workers, School Psychologist, Counselors, Behavior Technicians and Paraeducators are able to access the space as well. If students require additional support, the Wellness Center can connect them to the necessary resources.
Wellness Center hours are 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM during school days. To access the Wellness Center during class, students must ask their teacher/staff member for a pass. Teachers and staff may also recommend a student drop-in if they appear to need additional support. A visit may last from 10 minutes to 25 minutes depending on the student’s situation.
