Leadership Development

Playworks builds play into leadership through the Playworks Junior Coach program, which encourages teams of students to work together to learn games, fair play and positive conflict resolution and to teach these skills and lessons appropriately to their classmates.  Students who are Junior Coaches have after-school leadership team meetings 1-2x a week.

After-School Sports Teams and League

For San Miguel 4th and 5th graders, students have the opportunity to participate in after-school sports.  Some examples are basketball, volleyball, and dodgeball.  Students practice after school and play other Playworks teams in a friendly, non-competitive game.
