Each day, San Miguel students can earn Peace Cards worth a variety of points.  Students earn a Peace Card when they are caught being safe, responsible, and/or caring and responsible by a staff member.  Peace Cards are given out by all staff members in order to help create an inclusive community of positive behavior.  Verbal praise is also given to encourage an intrinsic motive for positive behavior.  This is a school-wide effort to positively reinforce students’ behavior.

Peace Cards are collected on a weekly basis and are totaled each month. The class that earns the most Peace Points each month is awarded the Peach Points Trophy which is then displayed in a prominent location in their classroom for the month. All other classes are acknowledged for their efforts. 

Trophy ceremonies take place on the last Tuesday of the month.  At our ceremonies, trophies are awarded for Peace Points, Citizens of the Month are recognized, and students are recognized for academic growth and academic Honor Roll.
