I have been fortunate to be a teacher here at Fairwood since 2007. I've taught many grade levels, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th.  I'm very happy now teaching the upper grades!

I was born in Aurora, Illinois, I received my bachelor's degree in Business and Spanish from Northern Illinois University and received my MBA at the Graduate School of International Business (Thunderbird campus in Arizona). After working in High-Tech Sales and Marketing for eight years, I went back to school to receive my teaching credential at San Jose State University. I have two children, both of whom are in college right now.

I am passionate about hands-on, experiential and project-based learning, and I love the parent participation at Fairwood!
