    Casa Abierta-  Este jueves 22 de mayo

    Este jueves 22 de mayo es nuestro evento anual de Casa Abierta. Es un evento divertido para la comunidad y una gran oportunidad para ver la increíble cantidad de aprendizaje que ha tenido lugar durante el año escolar en las aulas de sus hijos. El horario del evento está a continuación. ¡Esperamos verlos allí!

    Horario del evento Casa Abierta  22 de mayo:

    - 5:00  Presentación de baile folklórico en el asfalto

    - 5:00-7:00  Venta de comida en el asfalto

    - 5:00-7:00  Feria del Libro en la biblioteca

    - 5:30-6:30  Aulas abiertas para visitas

     

    Feria del Libro Scholastic

    Nos complace anunciar que la Feria del Libro Scholastic de primavera estará abierta desde el viernes 16 de mayo hasta el jueves 22 de mayo. Cerrará el jueves después de la Casa Abierta. Los estudiantes con dinero o eWallet pueden comprar durante el recreo de la mañana y del almuerzo.

    La Feria del Libro también estará abierta después de clases hasta las 3:00 PM, y las familias son bienvenidas a comprar en ese horario. Además, estará abierta durante la Casa Abierta de 5:00 PM a 7:00 PM.

    Mensaje sobre Perros en el Campus

    Recordatorio amistoso: como una medida adicional para mantener seguros a nuestros estudiantes, no se permiten perros en el campus durante el horario escolar (incluyendo la llegada por la mañana). Gracias por ayudar a mantener segura a nuestra comunidad.

     

    Rincón de la Enfermera

    Vacunas para el otoño: Si tiene un estudiante que ingresará a 7.º grado o que comenzará TK este otoño, es posible que necesite vacunas adicionales antes del inicio de clases. Probablemente recibirá una carta o correo electrónico de la escuela recordando las vacunas necesarias, o puede consultar con el pediatra de su hijo(a). También puede acceder al registro de vacunas de su hijo(a) (¡o el suyo!) en línea usando este enlace: http://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/

    Si no tiene seguro y necesita ayuda para obtener las vacunas Tdap, varicela o MMR, el condado de Santa Clara puede brindar asistencia. Llame al (408) 970-2870.

    Asistencia

    A medida que nos acercamos al final del año escolar, queremos recordarles que cada día cuenta  no solo para el aprendizaje, sino para formar buenos hábitos y terminar el año con éxito.

    Concurso de Asistencia de Mayo  ¡La clase con el mayor porcentaje de asistencia durante el mes de mayo ganará una fiesta de pizza! ¡Trabajemos juntos para asistir y apoyarnos unos a otros!

    Reconocimiento por Asistencia Perfecta  Los estudiantes con asistencia perfecta del 21 de abril al 16 de mayo serán reconocidos en la oficina principal.

    ¡Terminemos el año con fuerza, haciendo que cada día cuente! ¡Gracias por su continuo apoyo y colaboración!

    Project Cornerstone

    Nos complace invitarlos a un taller presencial especial presentado por Project Cornerstone en colaboración con el Distrito Escolar de Sunnyvale. Este evento está diseñado para apoyarlos en tener conversaciones significativas y apropiadas para la edad de sus hijos sobre las noticias y eventos actuales. Ya sea que su hijo(a) tenga preguntas o se sienta inseguro por lo que escucha, este taller ofrecerá herramientas prácticas para guiarlos con cuidado y confianza.

    Desayuno y Almuerzo Escolar

    Una vez más, el desayuno y el almuerzo serán gratuitos para todos los estudiantes este año escolar.     La cafetería estará abierta de 7:40 a 7:55 AM para el desayuno.

    Actualización del PTA

    Esta semana:

    ¡La Casa Abierta es el jueves! Los vendedores de food trucks donarán un porcentaje de sus ventas a la Asociación de Padres (PTA), así que les animamos a que los visiten. Hemos reservado Smashburger, Pupusatime, churros y un camión de helados para que disfruten. También les animamos a venir a las 5 p. m. para ver la presentación de los estudiantes de danza folklórica de San Miguel.

    Se necesitan voluntarios para los picnics de fin de año:

    Los estudiantes disfrutarán de un picnic de fin de año en el Parque Fair Oaks. ¡Inscríbase como voluntario para garantizar un día seguro, solidario y divertido para todos!

    Open House- This Thursday, May 22nd

    This Thursday, May 22nd, is our annual Open House event. This is a fun community event and a great opportunity to see the incredible amount of learning that has taken place throughout the school year in your children’s classrooms. The schedule for the event is below and we hope to see you there! 

     

    May 22nd Open House Schedule:

    • 5:00 Folklorico dance students perform on the blacktop

    • 5:00-7:00 Food vendors on the blacktop

    • 5:00-7:00 Book Fair in the library

    • 5:30-6:30 Classrooms open for visiting

     

     

     

     

    Scholastic Book Fair

    We're excited to announce that the Spring Scholastic Book Fair will be open from Friday, May 16th to Thursday, May 22nd. It will close on Thursday after Open House. Students with money or an eWallet can shop during morning and lunch recess. 

     

    The Book Fair will also be open after school until 3:00 PM, and families are welcome to shop then as well. Additionally, the Book Fair will be open during Open House from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

    Message about Dogs on Campus

    Friendly reminder, as an extra precaution in keeping our students safe, dogs are not allowed on campus during school hours (including morning drop off). Thank you for helping to keep our community safe. 

     

     

     

    Nurses' Corner

    Immunizations for Fall: If you have a student going into 7th grade or a student starting TK this fall, they may need additional immunizations before school starts. You will most likely receive a letter or an email from the school reminding you of any needed vaccinations--or you can also check with your child's pediatrician. You are also now able to access your child's California vaccination record (or your own!) online using this link: myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov  If you have no insurance and need assistance with obtaining a Tdap, varicella or MMR vaccine, the county of Santa Clara can provide help. The number to call is (408) 970-2870.

    As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we want to remind everyone that every day counts — not just for learning, but for building strong habits and ending the year with success!

     

    🍕 May Attendance Contest – The class with the highest percentage of students present during the month of May will win a pizza party! Let’s work together to show up, support one another!

     

    🌟 Perfect Attendance Recognition – Students with perfect attendance from April 21 through May 16 will be highlighted in the main office.

    Project Cornerstone

    We are pleased to invite you to a special in-person workshop presented by Project Cornerstone in partnership with Sunnyvale School District. This event is designed to support you in having meaningful, age-appropriate conversations with your children about today’s news and current events. Whether your child is asking questions or feeling unsure about what they hear in the world around them, this workshop will offer practical tools to help you guide them with care and confidence.     Student Breakfast & Lunch

    Once again student breakfast and lunch will be provided for free for all students this school year. Families are highly encouraged to fill out the free and reduced lunch application which greatly helps our school funding. Link. The cafeteria will be open from 7:40- 7:55 AM for breakfast.

    folklorica students perform.
