Hello!  My name is Megan Strand and I am a 4th grade teacher here at Cherry Chase :-)  This is my eleventh year as a classroom teacher and my sixth year at Cherry Chase.  I decided to become a teacher due to my 2nd grade/3rd grade teacher.  She was a big impact on my life; I have always strived to be the teacher that she was.  I received my Bachelors from Coastal Carolina University, SC in 2003, majoring in Early Childhood Education.  I started teaching in 2004 in Kindergarten and have previously taught K, 1, and 2.  In 2006, I received my Masters in Education from University of Phoenix.  I love teaching and seeing student’s light bulbs go off when they learn something new!
