SUNNYVALE, CA — June 3, 2022 — After 21 years with the Sunnyvale School District, Ellis Elementary School Principal Eric Panosian will be getting a send-off like no other.

On June 3, at 8:30 a.m., during a special assembly, the school will perform a surprise flash mob dance and Principal Panosian will be invited to sign a steel beam that will be incorporated into the construction of new two-story classroom building at Ellis Elementary.

Ellis is the second school in the district to have a two-story classroom, and is currently undergoing an entire campus modernization. School staff members and students will also be able to sign the beam before it is added to the new classroom building.

Mr. Panosian has successfully served as Ellis Principal since 2012. Prior to coming to Ellis, he served as the Bishop Elementary Principal for seven years. Prior to that assignment, he served as Assistant Principal at Bishop and Interim Principal at Fairwood Elementary School. He has been with Sunnyvale School District since 2001.

Colleagues say it is his balanced perspective, his sense of humor, and his commitment to doing what’s right for students that make him an outstanding educator and leader and that he will be deeply missed.

Come join us for a fun morning honoring an amazing principal, but remember it’s a surprise!

Ellis Elementary is located at 550 E. Olive Ave., Sunnyvale.
