Special Education for Preschoolers
Special Education is specifically designed instruction, at no cost to parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability. Students are eligible for Special Education services through the Sunnyvale School District beginning at three years of age.
Our Preschool Program offers a variety of resources and support services. The Assessment Team works to identify a student's strengths and determine what support is required for access to education. The Assessment Team also provides information for families about community resources, parent workshops, and counseling. If you feel your child is in need of an assessment for specialized needs, please contact Ashley Vargas: ashley.vargas@sesd.org.
