The Sunnyvale School District provides student health and mental health services at no cost to families. SSD asks for your child’s insurance information because it helps expedite the process of setting up your student with these services.

Sunnyvale's student behavioral services are provided by school-based teams, which may consist of specialists from different organizations. The Sunnyvale School District (“SSD”) team includes health and mental health support staff such as nurses, psychologists, social workers, counselors, and mental health interns who are employees of the district. The team may also include specialists from different community organizations such as substance use, and other behavioral health counselors that have a contract with the district.
